How did the mughal empire centralize and maintain power?
The Mughal Empire was started in 1526. Babur the ruler of Fergana founded the empire Mughal Empire when he defeated Ibrahim Lodi, the ruler of the Delhi sultanate in the first battle of Panipat. Babur then proceeded to vanquish the Rajputs of central and northern India, and the Afghans. His decedents made alliances with other empires even including the Rajputs. The Mughal Empire’s golden age was the reign of Shah Jahan. He held a very strong government and had a very stable empire. The empire lasted through 7 generations and over 300 years.
